The EU will not fund a project that would have gone ahead anyway if the EU finance had not been available. However, the EU never finances 100% of a project, but it will finance substantial amounts. Furthermore, those involved in the application and implementation of a project cannot benefit financially from it.<\/p>\n<p>A number of different actors can apply for EU financing.\u00a0Have a <a href=\"http:\/\/ec.europa.eu\/regional_policy\/thefunds\/access\/index_en.cfm#2\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">look at\u00a0this page\u00a0to see who can apply<\/a>.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Can private actors apply?<\/li>\n<li>Can public bodies apply?<\/li>\n<li>Can NGOs apply?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><strong>Finding out more information<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Find the managing authority in your area.
